What is Foothills Sertoma?
Membership in the Foothills SERTOMA chapter of Sertoma International consists of an active mix of business owners, professionals, and community leaders all with the common goals of building fellowship, supporting each other, and raising money for directed giving to children and families in need, while having a great time doing it!
Foothills Sertoma is a newly chartered club of Sertoma International. Three other Sertoma Clubs are active in Tucson, the oldest having been founded in the late 1950's.
The new club meets as a group monthly, with the various committees meeting as needed. The luncheon meeting format is fun and educational, and a great way to get involved in and with the community while networking with other like-minded business and community leaders.
Where and When Do We Meet?
The Foothills Sertoma club meets at 12:30, the second Friday of each month at McMahon's Prime Steak House, 2959 N. Swan (Swan and Ft. Lowell). The meeting format allows for time to meet and catch up with other members and guests, to conduct the club’s business, and hear from a wide variety of speakers about what is going on in our community
Please join us for great conversation and a chance to meet movers and shakers in Tucson.

October Update From The President
We all posses the dynamic and amusing characteristics that help make our club extraordinary. We now have an array of fun events to share with everyone. Foremost, our main man Ed will be distributing our basketball books for the sweet sixteen 2010 tournament, very soon, followed by (potential member), Jay Tolkoff hosting our October social event, OUR Homecoming tailgate party of the year (BYOBUDDY!), (a November social in the works, right Jen?) and finally, our most entertaining Christmas Party yet (I'm gonna go ahead and thank Gary Oschmann early for making the memories last throughout the year, but hopefully we will have another goose to gander). A lot is going on so get your calendar and fill in the voids!
We are so very thankful for everyone's support. We hope to continue to focus on growth as a part of this year's goal and hope that members gladly continue to participate in our monthly luncheons. Our regional director, Duane Gritzmaker, from the Rocky Mtn. Region, will be joining us as well as some other local club members on Friday. We hope to have a packed house! We have a full agenda so we'd like for people to get there early, otherwise, we will be forced to carry over in to happy hour and nobody likes that.
I would like to congratulate our member of the month, Ryan "Super Star" Mink as he continues to work diligently on re-establishing himself as an independent insurance agent AND an up & coming film star. Ryan always brings humor to the table and is much appreciated by our club for his fundraising efforts and entertainment. Most of all, I admire Ryan for his skills on the greens. Congratulations Mink!
We also welcome Tony Williams to the club! Like always, I welcome your suggestions and comments as a commitment to maintain our "electric" reputation. Our board meeting has moved to the first Friday of the month. We will meet at The Good Egg's William Center location at 9a every month. Burke Carroll, Bob Offret and I will be attending the District Leadership Meeting in Casa Grande on Saturday, October 3rd. We look forward to reporting to the club ALL the new ideas brought by the other clubs in Arizona. Support Tucson! Celebrate Oktoberfest and Happy Halloween to all!
Viva Mt. Lemmon!
Your President,
~Chrissy
